I Want To Adopt

All cats adopted from the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated (appropriate for age).  

Six Months & Under – $100 Adoption Fee

Seven Months to Seven Years – $50 Adoption Fee

Eight Years & Up – $15 Adoption Fee

If an animal will be residing within the Billings’ city limits, we are also required to sell a city license.  Licensing information and prices can be found here. 

Why do I pay adoption fees?

We do our best to keep adoption prices low so animals can find homes quickly.  Not only do these fees help cover medical care of the animal while it waits for adoption, but fees also help provide care for other animals at YVAS who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. 

An adoption fee could end up saving you money.
