I Want To Adopt

All dogs adopted from the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated (appropriate for age).  

• • Six Months & Under – $200 Adoption Fee
  • Seven Months & Up – $160 Adoption Fee

If an animal will be reside within the Billings’ city limits, we are also required to sell a city license.  Licensing information and prices can be found here.

Why do I pay adoption fees?

We do our best to keep adoption prices low so animals can find homes quickly.  These fees help cover the medical care of the animal while it waits for adoption, and they also help provide care for other animals at YVAS who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee.
