Bear is a long stay so his adoption fee is sponsored and free.
Bear came from a challenging living situation where excessive breeding led to some behavioral challenges known as littermate syndrome. This condition, common when puppies are raised with their littermates beyond the early weeks, can result in dependency, anxiety, and occasional resource-guarding behaviors. (Because of this, we don’t adopt out littermate puppies, ensuring they have the best chance to thrive individually.) Despite his rocky start, Bear has a heart of gold. Though he was initially terrified when he arrived, his gentle nature has shone through. While Bear can be a bit iffy with other dogs over toys or food, he would flourish with a well-balanced canine friend who can model confidence and help him become more outgoing. He’s also great with kids mature enough to understand his unique needs and help him feel safe. This boy is a sweet and resilient dog who is ready to leave his past behind and find a loving forever home!
