Dottie is an extremely sweet, high energy dog. She is kennel and potty trained. Her fur is a beautiful Merle color and DOES NOT MAT even though she is a doodle. She sheds very minimally. She has killed some of our chickens when she was younger but does better with them now. She would need a lot of training to be able to be with free range chickens but she currently is okay with them once full grown under supervision or for short times. She is great with kids but tends to not know her size and runs over toddlers and knocks them down a lot. She is still a puppy and if left alone unsupervised she will chew on things but does fairly well unsupervised in our back yard as long as things like kid toys are picked up. She is about 50lbs.
We are rehoming her mainly because her size and temperament isn’t a great fit for our family of little toddlers. I thought she was going to grow to be closer to 30lbs and would be more portable for going on car camping trips with us. I’m also a single mom so am not able to supervise her from eating kids toys while also keeping an eye on my kiddos, because of that she has limited access to our home and that’s not fair to her. Ideally she’d go to a home with older kids or adults, or at least a family with more people who are able to supervise her.
