Meet Ducky! Ducky was adopted from YVAS in December 2024. (He was a stray). He is between 3-5 years old and about 40 pounds. Ducky is a sweet and playful boy with a goofy personality. He is kennel trained and house trained. He has NEVER had an accident! Ducky does well on a leash but has had some off-leash time as well. He has good recall. He learns quickly and now knows “wait”, “leave-it”, “out”, and knows when he is told “YES” good things are coming. He loves to run in the back yard and play with toys by himself but also loves to have time with other dogs. Fetch is one of his favorite games, he is also happy being a couch potato and be given opportunity to cuddle. Ducky isn’t much of a barker but will alert when someone knocks at the door. He is good with cats! He will play with if they allow, but will steer clear of ones who aren’t interested. He is a mixed breed, DNA test indicates that he is mostly Husky (28%)with a mixture of other breeds. He will “talk” when he is very excited. Ducky has not been exposed to livestock or chickens so it is unknown how he would react. Baths aren’t his favorite thing but he follows direction very well. The current home is battling allergies and can’t take meds for it.
