If you’re looking for a tv watching, couch cuddling companion – look no further! Grey is a total sweetheart and loves attention. He is content to spend his day relaxing, snoozing, and snuggling up with his person. He loves to play with toys, roll around in catnip, and follow his person around the house. He prefers a generally calm household, likes other cats (once they have time to get to know each other), and does well with dogs that respect his space.
Grey is a diabetic cat that is going to need ongoing treatment. He will need to receive insulin twice a day as well as have a modified diet. Grey also has some skin allergies, so he will need to be on a diet of grain free wet food that is <8% protein (easily found in most groceries stores and cost is comparable to dry food). He will need yearly follow-ups with a vet to make sure he is maintaining his sugar levels – which is relatively inexpensive with the right vet. YVAS medical staff will provide his adopter’s with his current insulin, food, and information on how to properly care for a diabetic cat to get started.
*Grey is currently being housed in a foster home – please contact the shelter at 406-294-7387 if you would like to meet him!
