My name is Jack. I’m a neutered male tabby who is approximately 7 years old. I’ve lived with my family for 5 years after being rescued from the streets and an unknown beginning. My early trauma has caused me to be anxious and distrusting of most people until I get to know them. I LOVE my Mom and sitting on her lap is what I would prefer to do all day! I’ve not lived with children and tolerate the two dogs that share our home. I am a talkative cat with lots of personality who tends to prefer one person and no other pets. I’m litter box trained with no accidents or spraying in the house! I recently saw the veterinarian who gave me a clean bill of health and updated my vaccines. I’ve thrived with consistency and calm since coming to my family. However, our home has changed due to circumstances beyond our control. I’ve become anxious, stressed and have begun crying at night wanting to be inside with my Mom. I’m waking others in my attempt to get to her. She’s sad at the circumstances that have brought about a change in my behavior. My Mom has given me calming aids without positive resolve. She’s come to the difficult decision that the quality of my life would improve in a home where I can retire as a fully indoor cat in a quiet and peaceful place that will patiently provide consistency and calm while allowing me to acclimate and warm the lap of my new person.
