Macy is a loving dog with a huge heart for her humans. We were fostering her in 2021 then decided to keep her. She lives for tummy rubs, pets, and quality cuddle time—and once she snuggles in, she’s an enthusiastic (and very dedicated) snuggler. Couch time is her happy place, especially when she can soak up all the attention from the people she loves.
She does well with other dogs and enjoys their company. Macy is kennel trained and currently has free access to go outside when not in the kennel.
Macy can be unsure around unfamiliar people in her home. She typically appears fine at first, but will nip when someone is walking away, (this has happened to more than 5 different people at very unexpected moments, never breaking skin but still scary) even when there is no threat. Because of this, she would do best in a calm, consistent home with experienced owners who can help manage introductions and provide clear boundaries.
She has had some intermittent issues with peeing on carpet. This has occurred between different homes and has improved at times, but it is something her future family should be aware of and prepared to work through with consistency and patience.
Macy is deeply affectionate, loyal, and thrives in a home where she feels secure and understood. With the right environment and committed owners, she has so much love to give.
My husband and I are expecting our first child in May and are just not comfortable with the idea of her being around an infant with the random nipping.
