Pearl is the greatest girl ever! Sadly… she is just not getting the attention she deserves at our home.
Positives of Pearl – She is a purebred German Shepherd! She will come with her paperwork. She loves children, amazing on a leash, knows how to kennel, sit, and heel. She’s an absolute love bug too!! This girl enjoys cuddles on the bed, couch, and if you’re sitting down she lays her head in your arms. Her favorite form of affection is huge! She gets along great with adult dogs of all sizes and cats that aren’t afraid of dogs! She does NOT like puppies though and should always be supervised as she can get cranky when they have too much energy.
Negatives – Pearl will chase animals that run. She has been around horses and cattle and does fine / amazing with livestock. The moment one runs away from her she can’t help her drive and loves the chase. She also eats chickens. But will respect them in a fenced areas. Pearl can be a little unhappy to share food with friends. She will let people feed her, but tells other four legged creatures to back off. Pearl has also had FHO surgery on her left hip. She got in a car accident 2 years ago that left her with hip dysplasia. The surgery cured her though and she’s back to normal! She loves hikes, swimming, and is just as active if not more than before her accident. Part of pearls tail does not have nerves connected, so it just flops around a little bit. Doesn’t affect her in any way shape or form.
Pearl eats a diet of Beef based foods. Her tummy can get upset if she eats chickens. She does not steal food from her people.
Pearl is really the most loving dog in the whole world! It’s been so hard deciding on what to do, but ultimately my family and I have decided that she would be better suited in a home where her people are better able to give her the time she needs. Her list may seem long, but I promise you, if you give her a step she will give you a whole mile.
