All about Tess:

Tess’ Attributes:
Tess is beautiful with little fur/shedding. She loves “her” people and all she wants to do is play fetch and nap alongside you. She does good with cats and chickens as long as she has had her energy ram out for the day, otherwise she may do zoomies/ nibbles at them but she doesn’t hurt them she truly just wants to play! I’m assuming she would do fine with animal stock. Tess does great with an older child or two who arm calmed- she actually loves cuddling them. She looooves (dog) cookies. Tess knows: sit, sit pretty, shake, lay down and stay (but not a firm controlled stay for outside environments) and spin and lay down with voice and hand movements. She pulls initially on walks slightly with the collar I use. She does good with firmer toys and bones. She is crate trained (it’s her comfort actually)! She looooooves car rides and pup cups. She will stay in a fairly low fenced yard too. She truly just wants to be on your side all day and give kisses 🙂

Tess’ unfortunate events:
Tess has done well around other dogs especially small dogs but even larger dogs in my experience- my two just refuse to get along even with trainers at this point. I think it’s a jealousy/ protective issue of myself around them. But I would say small dogs are definitely okay with Tess and probably best. Tess doesn’t like new people- she loves her people! So it may be a few meet and greets before she is obsessed with you (even if you don’t live in her home). With that said she doesn’t do great in public except solo walks with her (she loves those!) She is absolutely terrified of the vet :(, storms and loud noises and sprayed water or boiling water sounds 🙁 I do think she would benefit from anxiety medication at this point. She doesn’t do great with her nails clipped but we get it done when needed 🙂

Tess is literally such a good dog and just wants to love and be loved! She may take patience but that patience to get to know her and her boundaries pay off ten times over with the love and cuddles she gives. I’ve owned her since she was a baby and can say confidently she’s the best I’m just trying to keep everyone safe and happy including her!

I want the best for her so I will answer anything, send any pictures or anything I can to help make sure it’s a good fit. Even after placement I will be so happy to help whenever/however possible! Please reach out to me.

Thank you for your time and consideration in loving Tess!
