Got 2 parakeets in July then 2 more shortly after from petsmart & petco they all do well with each other besides the typical arguments. I do not know their sex but I do know not to put any type of nest in their cage. I do not have the time I thought I would have to give them and to train them. They are so pretty and entertaining I also wish I could take them out and let them fly around freely but I’m scared one of my children will open the door and they fly out or one of my dogs will think they are a toy to play with. They won’t come to you or sit on you yet. They have a nice cage, accessories, food, treats etc. they are definitely noisy they need to go to someone who is experienced with parakeets, who has the time to be with them and who can have a little louder animals in their home.
