Meet Toby
His foster mom has come up with many nicknames for him…
Aka tobes, tobster, tobbeast, sir toby, handsome face, ECT
He is a rescue from ND, fostering in Glendive, MT looking for his forever home.
He is a 2 year old intact male cane course mix (mom thinks boxer). He is very anxious and excitable, but with some time and effort, his foster parents have already seen a good improvement in his behavior. He is pure muscle and doesn’t know his own strength at times, but it is all out of love…
He is a very vocal boy, and will talk, cry or yell when he needs something, unsure about his situation, wants to play, or he misses you. He has some separation anxiety, but that has seemed to calm as time goes on in his foster home. He is kennel trained but will throw a bit of a crying fit at first but eventually calms himself down and hasn’t torn anything up or hurt himself….
The first few days were stressful for him in his new home but his personality is slowly coming out. He isn’t sure on his limits when it comes to human play and is a bit nippy, but he doesn’t bite down hard and when you say owe, he lets go.
He has tried to be slowly introduced to his foster pack, but has a dominance issue with another intact male….so either he should probably get fixed before getting introduced to a family with other dogs, or go to a home where he can have solo love and support….
He is high energy and loves walks and play time, he has been in a house with kids and other dogs….but his high energy was a bit much. Again this could change with time and getting fixed.
He is free to a good home, probably needs updated shots (foster parents are willing to help with this) and his future home needs to get him fixed, so we have less of a chance for future dogs in his situation.
