The safety of your animals is of the utmost importance to YVAS staff and volunteers. Due to the fast-pace of this clinic, it is not appropriate for females animals over the age of 4 years or males over the age of 7 years. Female dogs must be under 40 lbs and males must be under 75 lbs. Cats must be at least 2 lbs, dogs must be at least 3 lbs. We do not accept brachycephalic breeds (i.e. smooshed snouts such as French Bulldogs, Boxers, Bulldogs, Persians, etc.). If you have any questions about whether your animal is a candidate for surgery at our clinic, please contact the shelter.

Every year, the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter (YVAS) partners with Spay Montana to bring two low-cost Spay & Neuter Clinics to the Billings area. We would also like to give a big thank you to this year’s sponsors, King’s, Lockwood, & Laurel Ace Hardware stores, for helping us provide this service to the community.
Our Clinics’ main goal is to provide veterinary services to those who are in financial need and/or those who would not be able to get their animals altered through any other means. YVAS will also be offering limited scholarships for this Clinic. Scholarship applications can be picked up at the shelter (proof of income is required).
Aside from preventing unwanted litters, spaying/neutering your pet has many health and behavioral benefits. If you are unable to attend our Clinic, please contact your veterinarian or contact YVAS for a list of Billings veterinarians.
