Other considerations – The safety of your animals is of the utmost importance to YVAS staff and volunteers. Due to the fast pace of this clinic, it is not appropriate for female animals over the age of 4 years or males over the age of 7 years. Dogs must be under 90 lbs. Cats must be at least 2 lbs, dogs must be at least 3 lbs. We do not accept brachycephalic breeds (i.e. smooshed snouts such as French Bulldogs, Bulldogs, Persians, etc.). If you have any questions about whether your animal is a candidate for surgery at our clinic, please contact the shelter. Animals not suitable for clinics may be able to be scheduled for surgery in-house at a later date if our schedules allow. *Cost may vary
Our Clinics’ main goal is to provide veterinary services to those who are in financial need and/or those who would not be able to get their animals altered through any other means. YVAS will also be offering limited scholarships for this Clinic. Scholarship applications can be picked up at the shelter (proof of income is required).
Aside from preventing unwanted litters, spaying/neutering your pet has many health and behavioral benefits. If you are unable to attend our Clinic, please contact your veterinarian or contact YVAS for a list of Billings veterinarians.
