My favorite word in the English language is: Zaftig. Meaning pleasantly plump, full-figured, or voluptuous. It is often used to describe an attractively curvy woman. In another life, I’m pretty sure I was: a Pallas’s cat, also known as a manul. These small, elusive wild felines are known for being incredibly fluffy and having a distinctly grumpy expression. Secretive and solitary, they move slowly but purposefully, blending seamlessly into the background. My favorite word that has no direct English translation is: Síobhraí (sheev-ree). An Irish word referring to a distinct faint, ghostly mist that creates a mystical, almost otherworldly, atmosphere.
