Newman Restoration Stands by Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter During Crisis and Donates $10,000 to Support “Paws and Rebuild” Capital Campaign
When a late-night smoke incident on September 10 forced Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter (YVAS) to evacuate and urgently clear its facility, Newman Restoration immediately stepped in to help and has stood beside the shelter every day since.
Called to the shelter in the middle of the night, Newman Restoration quickly mobilized their team, wiping their schedules to prioritize the safety of YVAS animals, staff, and community members. From the largest kennels to the smallest personal mementos, every inch of the building and every item inside it needed to be carefully cleaned and processed to ensure YVAS could continue operations and relocate without risk of contamination.
In total, Newman Restoration dedicated more than 448 hours to the highly specialized cleaning and recovery effort.
“We trusted them with our most valuable and invaluable items, the things that come with memories, service, and second chances,” said Triniti Halverson, Executive Director of YVAS. “Newman Restoration has been a true partner in every sense of the word. They put our mission first when it mattered most.”
As a final act of generosity, Newman Restoration is donating $10,000 to the Paws and Rebuild Capital Campaign, helping YVAS move closer to building a new state-of-the-art shelter that better serves the region’s animals and families.

We believe in YVAS and are honored to contribute to their future.” YVAS continues to operate from temporary locations while advancing plans for a permanent new home. The Paws and Rebuild campaign invites businesses and community members to join forces in creating a safer, larger, and more innovative facility for the more than 7,700 animals cared for each year.
“We are deeply grateful,” Halverson added. “Newman Restoration helped us navigate one of the most stressful moments in our organization’s history, and now they are helping us build what comes next.”
