Low-cost Spay & Neuter Services:
- Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter: YVAS has several options for low-cost spays & neuters:
- Monthly, low-cost spay & neuter clinics – Sign-ups for these clinics usually occur on the first of the month, with the clinic occurring on a Saturday later in that same month at our Learning Center. We release the full details for each clinic on our Special Events page and our Facebook page. These clinics tend to fill quickly, so we recommend arriving early to the shelter on the sign-up day as we only make appointments in person. If our clinic fills for that month, we do keep a waitlist in case of any cancellations.
- In-house spay & neuter appointments – YVAS also offers spays & neuters in-house at our facility as scheduling allows. Please note that these appointments cost slightly more than our monthly clinics due to the added convenience of being able to drop off your pet.
- Vet-To-Go: Vet-To-Go also hosts low-cost spay & neuter clinics several times per year. They also offer affordable rates through their clinic. For more information about their services, please contact them directly at 406-656-2501 and visit their website.
Vaccinations:
- Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter: YVAS offers quarterly, low-cost vaccination clinics. Available vaccines include rabies, distemper, and bordetella. Microchipping is also available at these clinics. No appointments are required for these clinics, and supplies are offered on a first-come, first-served basis; quantities are limited. We release the full details for each clinic on our Special Events page and our Facebook page.
- A Home Vet: Every month A Home Vet hosts affordable pet vaccine clinics at each of Billings Shiptons Big R locations. They also offer deworming, flea & tick prevention, and microchips. For more information and pricing, please contact them directly at 406-839-5763 and visit their website.
End-of-Life & Cremation Services:
- Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter: YVAS offers euthanasia services to the public through our trained veterinary team as well as Billings Animal Control officers. This service is $55 and includes the cost of communal cremations. Please contact the shelter ahead of time by calling 406-294-7387 to make arrangements for these services.
