While shelter staff and volunteers do their best to comfort animals during their brief stays at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, we recognize that there is no place like home. This is why we’ve decided to offer another option for rehoming a pet: Shelter Skip. Shelter Skip is an online platform designed to keep animals out of the shelter through direct home placement. In other words, pets go from one home to another, skipping the shelter altogether. YVAS recommends that both potential adopters and rehoming families take necessary precautions and use their best judgment while utilizing the Shelter Skip Program. Come with a list of prepared questions, use the buddy system & take a trusted friend, and follow social distancing guidelines.
