Avaialble!

When Freya arrived at the shelter after being surrendered by her previous family, she was scared and anxious, and it was clear that she had been through a lot. It took a while for her to warm up to the shelter staff, but over time, she began to learn that not all humans were bad. One thing that helped was that Freya is very food motivated. She will eagerly take treats from anyone who offers them, and it has helped the shelter staff bond with her – slowly building a relationship based on trust and positive reinforcement! Over time, Freya has began to open up more and more. She started to wag her tail when the staff came to visit her, and would even approach them for affection. While she still had moments of fear and anxiety, it was clear that she was making progress. Freya has showed little interest in other dogs. While she can tolerate their presence, she much rather just hang out with her humans. This makes her a good candidate for a home without other pets, where she can be the center of attention! One thing that is clear about Freya is her loyalty. Once she forms a bond with someone, she is fiercely devoted to them. She has a lot of love to give, and just needs the right person to give it to.
