The Importance of Special Events:

As a nonprofit organization, our special events and the funds and awareness raised through them are crucial for sustaining our many programs at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter.  Be sure to follow our calendar below or watch YVAS’s Facebook page for all our fun, upcoming events! 

Adoption Events:

We partner with Petsmart Billings West Store to organize four off-site adoption events per year. We are unable to offer other off-site adoption events at this time. However, as schedules allow, we may be able to bring an adoptable animal or a Shelter Ambassador Animal to your event.  

While our adoption events are limited, we proudly report that animals at the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter have excellent visibility in the community and find their new homes very quickly.   Our cats’ length of stay is an average of six (6) days in the shelter, whereas dogs’ length of stay is an average of four (4) days before being adopted to their new homes.   

Fundraise for YVAS:

Fundraisers come in all shapes and sizes – here at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, we appreciate them all!  If you’re looking for a way to support the animals of YVAS, we’d love to help get you started.
